1. Expertise in Disability Inclusion and Accessibility
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of disability legislation, inclusion principles, and best practices in creating accessible and inclusive learning environments for students with diverse disabilities.
2. Leadership and Advocacy Skills
Proven ability to lead, advocate, and influence school staff, students, and the wider community to promote inclusive practices and support the rights of students with disabilities.
3. Collaboration and Teamwork
Experience working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families, external agencies, and students to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and inclusive teaching strategies.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students with disabilities, their families, staff members, and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, empathy, and responsiveness.
5. Problem-Solving and Adaptability
Ability to assess diverse student needs, identify barriers to inclusion, and develop practical, flexible solutions to support students¿ learning and participation in school activities.

About the Role:
The College Leader of Disability Inclusion is a senior education support leadership position at Staughton College responsible for the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) process and inclusive education practices across the school.
This role ensures that students with disability and additional needs are supported through evidence-informed planning, effective collaboration, and strong systems that uphold equitable access to learning. The leader provides specialist expertise and leadership in the administration, policy development, and operational delivery of the Disability Inclusion reforms, contributing to the school's strategic goals around inclusion, wellbeing, and high-quality learning for all.
