About the role:
The Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) is a sub-acute residential mental health service for young people aged 16–25 years. The service provides short-term, recovery‑focused mental health treatment, care and support for young people who are either stepping down from inpatient care or stepping up from community-based services to prevent acute deterioration.
Delivered in partnership with a non-government organisation, the YPARC has a strong focus on network‑centred care. The service offers a therapeutic, home‑like environment where young people are supported to build coping skills, reconnect with their strengths, and re‑engage with their personal and recovery goals, while maintaining connection to their community.
The YPARC Clinician provides compassionate, evidence‑informed mental health treatment, care and support aligned with each young person’s identified recovery goals. Family members, carers and other key supports are engaged early in the recovery journey. The role contributes to high‑quality, comprehensive clinical care that is developmentally appropriate and responsive to the young person’s presenting needs.
