Clinical Psychology Registrar
Fixed Term, Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO)
We are excited to invite applications for three Clinical Psychology Registrar positions commencing February 2026 to join our dedicated psychology team at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
As a Clinical Psychology Registrar, you will play a vital role within our mental health team, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support people with cancer and their families by addressing their mental health and psychosocial needs. Over the course of this two-year program, early-career psychologists will receive structured support to achieve clinical endorsement, gaining experience across a variety of departments and programs including the adult inpatient and outpatient consultation and liaison mental health services, ONTrac – the Victorian Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Services, Palliative Care, and Group and Systems work rotations. Services are delivered both face-to-face and via telehealth.
You will function as a fully registered psychologist, providing a comprehensive range of psychological services and contributing to clinical and quality improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in all aspects of the Psychology Registrar Program
• Provide psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups
• Conduct risk assessments, manage triage processes, and make informed clinical decisions
• Collaborate as a member of multidisciplinary teams, offering psychological consultation and advice (with supervisor support)
• Liaise with medical teams, including attendance at multidisciplinary meetings
• Deliver educational presentations as appropriate
• Engage in ongoing professional development within the department and hospital
• Maintain high standards of written and oral communication, ensuring timely updates to supervisors and the psychosocial oncology team
• Keep accurate and timely clinical records, including contact and outcome data

Remuneration as per Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025. Grade 2, Year 1: (PK1) $94,478.80 (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) to Grade 2, year 4: (PK4) $106,906.80 (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) dependent on candidate experience.
