About the role:
An opportunity currently exists for a Clinical Psychologist to work on an ongoing part time basis within the Renal Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) Service. Generally registered psychologists enrolled in an AoPE Registrar Program for Clinical Psychology are also encouraged to apply.
The Psychologist will form part of a broader multidisciplinary team providing Best Care for the community of the West. In this role, you will collaborate with other psychologists (including Health Psychology and Neuropsychology) to play a key clinical role in providing psychological assessment, individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation. This role works alongside a team of passionate and highly skilled medical, nursing, and other allied health professionals within the broader Renal Services at Western Health.
You will contribute by assessing the client's needs, identifying, and mitigating psychological barriers to goal attainment, using a range of modalities and techniques. You will receive regular supervision, support from the whole team and have access to a range of professional development activities.
