About the Emergency Department
The Austin Health Emergency Department cares for approximately 90,000 patients each year, including around 20% paediatric presentations. It is a large, state-of-the-art service providing assessment, treatment and admission pathways across a broad range of specialties.
The department is supported by a 24-bed Short Stay Unit, comprising adult, paediatric and mental health beds, delivering treatment and observation for patients expected to discharge within 24-48 hours.
This role predominantly supports the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit while working collaboratively within the broader Emergency Department, Nursing Workforce Unit, Ambulatory and Cancer Services nursing education portfolio and CNED.

Austin Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Clinical Nursing Education Department and play a key role in developing and supporting nurses across one of Victoria's busiest Emergency Departments.
Reporting to the Clinical Education Coordinator - Emergency Department, Nursing Workforce Unit, Ambulatory and Cancer Services, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of high-quality education and training programs that support safe, evidence-based nursing practice.
You will help foster a positive learning culture, support nursing staff at all stages of their career development and contribute to the achievement of Best Practice Clinical Learning Environments (BPCLE).
