About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department Education team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in a part time (0.6 EFT, 48hrs per fortnight) ongoing position. Working closely with the ED senior leadership team you will be responsible for the provision of continuing professional development for nurses across the RCH ED career progression pathway as they develop skills from an entry level through to advanced clinical standing.
Internally, this position will be known and/or referred to as: Clinical Nurse Educator, Emergency Department.
Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 22 - Registered Nurses and is classified as RN35 (Educator), with a salary of $128,102 per annum (FTE, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation).

About the Department:
The Royal Children’s Hospital Emergency Department provides emergency care to children with ages ranging from newborns to adolescents up the age of 18. Operating 24 hours, 7 days a week, approximately 90,000 patients are seen each year which equates to 250 patients per day, on average. The department includes 4 triage cubicles, 4 resus cubicles, 2 negative pressure isolation cubicles, 20 general assessment cubicles, 10 Fastrack care bays and 8 short stay bays.
