About the role
headspace Colac supports young people aged 12–25 with their mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drug use, and work and study. It works in an early intervention model that puts young people and their families at the centre of their care. Operated by Barwon Health Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS), the centre works closely with local schools, community agencies and the Colac Community Mental Health Team to make sure young people in the region can get the right support at the right time.
As Clinical Lead, you’ll work with the Centre Manager to lead the development of clinical practice and the clinical governance framework at headspace Colac. You’ll coordinate the intake system, provide clinical consultation and professional supervision to salaried and contracted clinicians, and carry your own caseload of young people. You’ll also contribute to quality projects and service planning, and act as Centre Manager during leave periods. The role is open to Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (AH4 / RPN4 / P3). It includes occasional evening shifts (10.30am–7pm) and the occasional Saturday.
