The Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CDIS) will be a valued member of Health Information, to improve the quality of clinical documentation via concurrent review of clinical documentation and engagement and education of clinicians. The outcome will be clinical documentation that accurately captures the patient episode of care including diagnoses, clinical treatment, clinical reasoning and decision making. Complete and accurate clinical documentation will better support safer patient care, more accurate performance, activity data and ultimately NWAU funding. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to report on all outcomes in a standardised, efficient, and timely manner. You will be a self-motivated, ambitious individual who can work effectively in a team environment, but also autonomously and have a proven ability to engage with clinicians and other key stakeholders. A passion for quality improvement and promoting culture change desirable.
