About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
The Clinical Administration Officer is responsible for the delivery of consumer focused administrative support that ensuresequity of access throughout the patient’s journey in Community Health and Rehabilitation programs. In addition, this role will assist the wider clinical and administration teams at the Community Health Chronic and Complex programs, Rehabilitation centres as well as the Local Access Teams by providing efficient and effective clerical support so as to achieve desired outcomes.
This position is temporary part time. The days of work are Monday to Wednesday with the opportunity to work additional hours to cover for planned and unplanned leave. The role may be required to support multiple Barwon Health clinical services depending on service delivery needs.
The role location is based at 120 Settlement Rd, Belmont, however, is likely to be moved to other locations in the short term to accommodate program needs.
While our team is well supported by allied health and clinical professionals, it would be advantageous for the successful applicant to have an understanding of and be able to interpret medical terminology. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, programs and department guidelines.
