John Henry Primary School is a growing and inclusive school community committed to providing a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for all students. The school prides itself on strong relationships, high expectations and a focus on both student wellbeing and academic growth.
Our staff work collaboratively to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs, underpinned by a strong commitment to inclusion and student support. We have a well-established whole-school approach to wellbeing, including a tiered behaviour framework aligned with School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS), and a focus on building students¿ capacity to self-regulate and engage successfully in their learning.
As part of our commitment to supporting diverse learners, John Henry Primary School has developed a dedicated sensory regulation space. This space provides targeted support for students who require additional assistance to regulate their emotions, develop self-management strategies and successfully transition back into the classroom.
The successful applicant will play a key role in leading this space, working with students who may present with dysregulation and require structured, consistent and supportive interventions. The role requires a teacher with a strong understanding of disability and inclusion (D&I), as well as experience in implementing strategies such as the Zones of Regulation or similar frameworks.
Working closely with classroom teachers, education support staff and the leadership team, the successful applicant will support the development of consistent practices across the school and contribute to a positive, inclusive and responsive learning environment.
John Henry Primary School values staff who are reflective, collaborative and committed to making a difference in the lives of all students.
