About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for Child Life Therapists (Grade 1 or Grade 2 - 2.0 FTE) to join the Child Life Therapy Department at The Royal Children's Hospital (The RCH). We welcome applications from candidates seeking full-time or part-time employment, with flexibility available across the total EFT. There are a combination of ongoing and Fixed Term roles available! One position includes evening and weekend shifts and provides Child Life Therapy services across a range of clinical areas, including a regular component within the Emergency Department, supporting children and families during acute and often complex healthcare experiences. You will provide a comprehensive Child Life Therapy service to patients and families across The RCH, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across a range of clinical specialties. You will support children and young people to understand and cope with healthcare experiences through evidence-based, developmentally appropriate interventions, ensuring care is delivered within a child and family-centred framework.Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 01 - Allied Health.
This will range from PT63 (Grade 1, Year 3) to PT70 (Grade 2, Year 4), FTE base salary $78,712.40-$103,724.40 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation.

Child Life Therapy engages children, young people and their families to support understanding and coping throughout healthcare experiences.
