Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement, Technology and Data Services.
About this position
The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) is an integral part of the Investment and Technology leadership team and is responsible for leading a high performing division that delivers value and provides proactive planning and advisory services across DTP.
The CPO is one of eight direct reports to the Deputy Secretary, Investment and Technology and is accountable for the department’s procurement function and the development, delivery and maintenance of DTP’s procurement strategy, framework and underlying policies and processes, which adhere to legislative, probity and compliance requirements while driving the best value for the department and broader portfolio.
The CPO will lead, facilitate, and maintain relationships with a diverse range of senior internal and external stakeholders whilst representing and advocating for DTP in portfolio and whole of government forums. The CPO will provide relevant, authoritative, and timely advice and assurance to achieve and maintain Victorian Government Purchasing Board accreditation.
The CPO will also provide leadership and guidance in supporting the department to meet social procurement policy requirements through the purchase g of goods, services, or construction from including Aboriginal businesses, disability service providers and other social benefit suppliers, across Victoria
