About the branch
Led by the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Corporate Services branch plays a crucial role in enabling VGSO's overall success by providing essential support and strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Balancing an appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the public sector, along with the requirements of operating in a competitive legal services environment, the branch delivers proactive, effective and efficient services to VGSO's internal and external clients.
Through its work, the Corporate Services branch fosters a cohesive and supportive environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and a client-centric approach.

About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join VGSO as Chief Operating Officer and lead the Corporate Services branch at a pivotal time of transformation, playing a critical role in shaping organisational strategy, performance and operations within a client-focused professional services environment.
Reporting to the Victorian Government Solicitor and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will position Corporate Services as a trusted partner to the organisation. You will enable effective operations and provide strategic advice on organisation-wide priorities, ensuring VGSO delivers on its purpose.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams across finance, technology, knowledge management, communications, marketing, governance and business services, driving innovation, continuous improvement and transformation across systems, processes and organisational capability.
Central to your success will be your ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture aligned with Our Compass.
This is a high-impact role where your leadership, commercial acumen, and judgement will directly shape VGSO's future.
