The Chief Information Officer is responsible for the inspirational leadership of the ICT team, and partnering with the organisation to develop and deliver innovative ICT strategies and solutions.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) drives the organisation’s ICT strategy and roadmap, creating innovative technology solutions, and delivering robust security governance and information management.
Leading the Knowledge and Technology Team, the CIO role models a culture that focuses on building collaborative internal relationships and partnerships, providing deep technical expertise and contemporary ICT thought leadership.
You will be an accomplished people centred technology executive who brings experience in enterprise-wide strategic leadership, operational excellence and providing trusted advice to the executive team that is risk based, forward looking and contemporary.
The successful appointee will have a reputation for demonstrating values driven leadership and upholding the highest levels of ethics and integrity.

The Organisation
The Victorian Ombudsman (VO) provides a free, independent, accessible and impartial service to the public. Our purpose is to ensure fairness for the public in their dealings with the Victorian public sector, to improve public administration, and engage with public organisations, the government sector and the broader community.
The VO’s role is to ensure that the services of state and local government and other public organisations are delivered in a fair and reasonable manner that is compatible with the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 (Vic), and that human rights have been taken into consideration in decision making.
