About the role
The Change Lead plays a key role in delivering change management and executing business readiness activities to support the phased implementation of a new public transport ticketing solution. Working across key project streams, the role partners with stakeholders, operators and vendors to develop and deliver change plans, impact assessments, process documentation, training, and go-live readiness activities to enable successful adoption of new systems and ways of working.
Accountable for successful transition outcomes, the role delivers clear change plans, stakeholder engagement, readiness reporting, risk mitigation, and high-quality documentation. While not managing staff directly, the Change Lead collaborates across cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated delivery and sustained adoption.

· Translates strategies into programs/projects; defines governance, success measures, roles, and risk management to achieve outcomes.
· Identifies key messages for decision-making; provides high-level advice on influencing and tailoring communication to audiences.
· Secures agreement and buy-in for ideas; builds support through indirect influence and expert engagement.
· Builds and maintains partnerships; coaches on co-creation; fosters trust; navigates differing opinions to reach decisions.
· Diagnoses trends and obstacles; coaches others in systems thinking; links organisational systems to community outcomes and policy solutions.

Qualifications and experience
· Has delivered a set of actionable and targeted change management plans to support the needs of a complex program, including change readiness activities to prepare internal and external stakeholders.
· Demonstrated experience leading and delivering change management on multiple projects and working in cross-functional teams.
· Can demonstrate experience in providing specialist advice to project stakeholders on the selection of change, communications and stakeholder management approaches, tools, and processes such that the collective outcomes required by the impacted business and the project are delivered effectively.
