Case Practice Support Worker – Child Protection
Brimbank Melton Area (Sunshine Office)
Case Practice Support Workers are an integral part of the Child Protection workforce, playing a vital role in supporting the safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people.
Based at our Sunshine office, this role provides practical, hands-on support to children and families involved in the Child Protection program, working closely with Child Protection Practitioners and partner services.
About the Role
As a Case Practice Support Worker, you will:
Supervise access visits between children and their families
Transport children and young people to appointments, placements, and services
Provide practical, in-home support to families
Assist case practitioners by undertaking a range of case support tasks that contribute to child safety and stability
This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires flexibility and a strong commitment to the wellbeing of children.
Key Requirements
A current Employee Working with Children Checks (WWCC) card
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel is essential
Capacity to travel across metropolitan and country regions as required
Ability to work evenings, early mornings and overnight, when necessary
Willingness to work additional hours on occasion to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
Cultural Knowledge and Practice
You will:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture
Have knowledge of the legislative, policy and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families and communities
Understand and support the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle and the programs and initiatives that underpin its implementation within child protection practice

Employment Status: Ongoing & Fixed Term vacancies to 30/06/2026. Full-time (76 hours per fortnight) / Part-Time and job share options may be available that meet programs needs during peak periods between 7am to 7pm
Salary Range: $62,742 - $77,430 per annum, plus superannuation
