Position: Carer Peer Support Worker - Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Services
About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a caring and motivated Carer Peer Support Worker to join our Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.
This is a lived experience role for someone who has supported an older person experiencing mental health challenges, including a family member, loved one, or close friend. In this role you will draw on your own experience to support other carers and families, helping them feel heard, understood, and better supported as they navigate the mental health system.
You will be joining a welcoming, supportive, and values driven team within Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, as well as the broader Lived and Living Experience Workforce. The team is passionate about improving care and strongly values the contribution of lived experience as an equal and essential part of service delivery.
In this role, you will be supported to use your voice and experience in a meaningful way, working alongside clinicians and peers who are committed to collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement in how care is delivered to older people and their families.
