About the Cardiology Department
The Cardiology Department is responsible for the provision of an extensive range of cardiac services to inpatients and outpatients including general cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure service, pulmonary hypertension service, echocardiography, cardiac catheterisation, interventional and structural heart procedures, and non-invasive diagnostic procedures.
About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Cardiology Interventional Fellow to join our Cardiology Department for a 12-month Fellowship position from February 2027.
Fellows are required to participate in and achieve competence in the following procedures, initially as assistants and then as supervised first operators:
Fellows may be required to assist with percutaneous closure of congenital defects, aortic and mitral valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, other structural heart procedures, and peripheral vascular interventional procedures, but are not expected to achieve independent operator status.
