About the Role
The role of the Cabinet and Parliament Program Advisor is to provide support and advice to facilitate the implementation of the Government's Cabinet and legislative program, and the parliamentary program.
As part of a team, the Advisor will coordinate Cabinet and parliament program activities that support the department's ministers to participate at Cabinet meetings and in parliamentary sittings.
This is a fixed term full-time role until 21 July 2027.
In undertaking this role, the Advisor will develop a deep understanding of the business systems that support implementation of the program; will engage with stakeholders and manage issues as they arise; represent the department at Cabinet/parliament related meetings; provide advice to departmental staff on policies and practices that support the Cabinet and parliament program; prepare program reports; prepare briefings; and develop and maintain appropriate guidance material to support the program.

The Executive and Ministerial branch is responsible for leading the department's support services for ministerial offices and managing freedom of information, and cabinet and parliament processes.
