Corrections Victoria is a business unit of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). Corrections Victoria's vision is ‘Safer prisons, safer people, safer communities'. The Beechworth Correctional Centre is a minimum-security facility with a focus on preparing individuals for release and successful reintegration back into society. It offers various working industries with the men given the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills that will effectively link them to employment on release. When not engaged in work, the men attend rehabilitative programs to address their offending behaviour, engage in education and visits whilst many also engage in recreation and community assistance programs.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, this role is responsible for delivering a broad range of administrative support functions within the Corporate Services.
Some of your duties will include:
- Assisting in the continuity of services provided by the Corporate Services when key personnel are unavailable, coordinate business activities and undertake a range of administrative functions including admin, canteen, stores functions and compliance related projects
- Providing support where required to Finance Team
- Under the guidance of the HR Supervisor, providing coverage and ensure continuity of HR services. Support the site in recruitment, selection, documentation and follow-up processes

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in, or capacity to quickly learn and use, Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice and Community Safety systems and applications
- The ability to effectively use departmental computer systems for basic word processing, email, appointment scheduling, internet and intranet functions
- Produce a range of complex business correspondence and reports presenting clear, factual and pertinent information based on knowledge, research and analysis
- A willigness to understand issues, needs and motivations of others while establishing trust and mutual respect in support of others and providing information and decisions in a sensitive and considerate manner.
