The Business Manager is a senior member of the school leadership team and a key strategic adviser to the Principal on business, financial, workforce, administrative, facilities, governance and operational matters.
The position has primary responsibility for the strategic leadership, integration, governance and continuous improvement of significant whole-school business functions. It operates with a high degree of autonomy and exercises significant decision-making authority within delegations established by the Principal, School Council, Department of Education policies and applicable legislative and industrial requirements.
The Business Manager translates the school¿s educational and improvement priorities into sustainable financial, workforce and operational strategies. The position provides authoritative, evidence-based advice to the Principal, leadership team and School Council and identifies emerging risks, funding implications, resource constraints and organisational opportunities requiring executive consideration.
The role is responsible for ensuring that business services support the safe, inclusive and effective operation of a specialist school and enable teaching, wellbeing and specialist staff to focus on student engagement, participation and learning.
