The Business Manager at Gladstone Park Secondary College (GPSC) is responsible for leading all non-teaching aspects of school operations. This includes the effective management of finance, human resources, facilities, compliance, procurement, administration, and risk.
Working closely with the Principal Class Team, other members of the Leadership Team and School Council, the Business Manager will provide strategic leadership and advice and will be an integral part of the development and implementation of school policies, whilst ensuring that GPSC operates efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with Department of Education (DE) policy and legislative requirements
This position requires strong leadership, independence, and strategic foresight, with an emphasis on proactive problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead diverse teams towards operational excellence.

Attendance requirement for this position is full time (38 hours per week) Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:06pm. Any attendance required at meetings outside these hours will be subject to the college's Time in Lieu policy.
This position will require some work during the school vacation periods. Attendance is required for 1 week during the term breaks.

This vacancy is to replace an employee on parental absence and is for a period of seven years or until the employee absent on leave returns to duty at the school.
Gladstone Park is a single campus, co-educational Year 7 to 12 College of over 1300 students that serves a large residential community in the North-Western suburbs of Melbourne. We have a culturally diverse enrolment.
The school operates using a Sub-School model with Junior School years 7 - 8; Middle School years 9 - 10 and Senior School years 11 - 12. Currently more than 30 primary schools provide students for entry at Year 7.
The school provides a core program in the Years 7-9. The Year 10 blocks are aligned with the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) blocks. Vocational Education and Training (VET) is also offered to all VCE students, including Vocational Major students. A considerable proportion of Year 10 students undertake a VCE subject or pursue additional pathway options within the conventional curriculum program.
