The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Business Development Manager to provide a critical role within the Offender Services and Reintegration division.
About the Business Unit
The Offender Services and Reintegration division of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including case management, education, training and employment, prison industries and rehabilitation and reintegration supports. The division contributes to a safer community by supporting a safe and humane corrections system that provides opportunities for rehabilitation, supports reintegration and works toward Aboriginal self-determination.
Prison Industries operates over 65 individual industries across 13 sites to provide people in prison with a variety of employment, training and learning opportunities, while also aiming to deliver value for the public through goods and services provided to both private customers and internal customers - both prisons and government.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing a Prison Industries customer / marketing portfolio as allocated for product categories or service activities.
The customer base may be internal (government) and/or external (business, non-government) business. The role involves effective commercial business management of existing business operations and the identification, development and introduction of additional new products and/or business opportunities.
The role is responsible for all relevant Prison Industry business processes and deliveries against the business plan and strategic priorities.
