About the Division
The Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) provides innovative and integrated technology and information management services and support. IMTD is currently driving a transformation program focused on digital innovation and maturity to improve service delivery across the Victorian education system.
About the Role
The Business Architect plays a key leadership role in shaping and aligning business capabilities, operating models, and investment roadmaps with the department's strategic objectives. You will develop business capability models, define current and target operating states, and identify transformation opportunities that support Victoria's K–12 education system. This role works closely with enterprise architecture, program teams, and stakeholders to ensure business and technology initiatives are effectively integrated and aligned.
Attributes
The successful candidate will have strong skills in business architecture development, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and architecture governance. You will be experienced in developing business capability models and target operating models, facilitating workshops, and translating complex business needs into actionable architecture deliverables. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and a public sector mindset are essential.
