The Business Analyst, Program Compass is a member of the Program Compass and Delivery & Implementation teams in DEECA’s Bushfire & Forest Services (BFS) Group.
This role will be responsible for mapping and analysing current business processes and methods for learning and development activities across the group, including identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
The successful applicant will use strong consulting skills to liaise with business subject matter experts and learning strategy and design specialists to propose an enhanced future state capable of supporting BFS staff in all required emergency management activities.
The Program is Not a ‘business as usual’ uplift. The Program requires structural, cultural, and operational changes in how BFS governs, delivers, and scales learning and development from an emergency management perspective.
The Program is established to lead a response to a recently conducted review of BFS Emergency Management learning and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
About You
You are a hands-on Senior Business analysts with great stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of the practice of business analysis. You have a strong drive to work with business stakeholders current and future state needs and have a track record of aligning solutions to business needs.
You will bring broad business analyst experience and will have successfully lead business analyst activities in complex business reform environments. Ideally you will have knowledge of workforce planning, training design, and stakeholder engagement, and are passionate about building a resilient and skilled workforce for Victoria’s emergency management future.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
