The Business Analyst works within the Agriculture Victoria Research Operations division to undertake financial and administrative duties supporting the day-to-day operations of the Agriculture Victoria (AVR) Branch. The Business Analyst ensures AVR staff are provided the support required to focus on scientific and research duties by providing the General Manager Operation and Divisional Executive Team with quality and timely information to support decision making. The successful applicant will operate autonomously to prioritize competing workload demands and deliver high quality and accurate outputs within agreed timeframes and standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to process financial data. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset and proactive attitude towards learning. Proficient use of Oracle financial systems and other finance and procurement applications will be well regarded. Demonstrated experience in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Excel and well-developed financial literacy skills and experience in the government sector or related industry are highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
