Business Adviser
The Role
The Business Adviser provides comprehensive business support and strategic advice to the Office of the Chief Communications Officer while delivering effective business management services across the Strategic Communications Branch. Working in a dynamic environment, you will support branch operations through business improvement initiatives, workforce planning, project delivery and stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised professional who enjoys solving problems, building strong working relationships and delivering high-quality business support and advice.
Main Accountabilities
The Team
The position of Business Adviser forms a part of the Strategic Communications Branch within the Office of the Secretary.
The Office of the Secretary provides high-level support to the Secretary in leading the department's strategic governance, statutory responsibilities and ministerial commitments. The Strategic Communications Branch enhances the department's reputation through best-practice communications, issues management, corporate affairs, digital and marketing services, and management of the Customer Communications Centre.
About You
You will bring a proactive approach to your work, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and the ability to independently manage priorities and solve problems. You will have strong organisational and business management skills, with experience supporting business operations and coordinating multiple activities in a collaborative environment. You will also have proven project management capability, including planning, delivering and monitoring business improvement initiatives while managing risks and providing practical advice to support successful outcomes.
