About the Role:
Are you a building professional with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to fair outcomes for consumers?
As a Building Assessor within the Building Assessments team, you will play a key role in assessing domestic building work to determine whether it is defective, incomplete or non‑compliant with relevant legislation. Drawing on your technical expertise, you will prepare high‑quality assessment reports that clearly document findings under the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 and the Building Act 1993, supporting informed decision‑making and regulatory outcomes.

About the BPC
Established in 2025, the BPC is Victoria's new independent regulator for the building and plumbing industries. The BPC brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation have come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance.
