The Budget Analyst role within the Budget Management and Partnerships branch is a key role in providing advice and information on a broad range of budget and financial management activities. The role provides support around financial analysis and budget advice to DEECA Portfolio agencies and key stakeholders.
The role supports the team to coordinate budget management reporting for DEECA from its Portfolio agencies and their programs. This includes program reporting, output cost management, analysing changes to the Portfolio agencies’ budget updates, contributing the annual state budget process. The role will require to perform the data administration inputs to the State Resource Information Management System (SRIMS) and chart of accounts (CoA) codes and costs at output level. With a degree in accounting, finance or commerce (desirable), the role requires high level conceptual and analytical skills, a focus on detail and ability to build effective relationships along with strong written skills.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria hybrid work arrangements available.
