The Botanist will contribute to the delivery of ecological research undertaken at the Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research (ARI). The position requires a detailed knowledge of Victoria’s flora and its ecosystems, as well as an understanding of environmental processes and threats. The position requires a passion for the environment, good plant identification skills, experience in preparing for and carrying out field surveys, and contributing to delivery of research outputs. A key requirement is the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, projects and demands, and to undertake a substantial amount of field based work.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 Months. The work location for this position is Heidelberg with hybrid work arrangements available.
