About the Role
Are you someone who enjoys bringing people together and celebrating the great work they do? If you have a talent for organisation and a genuine passion for recognising others' contributions and take pride in delivering projects that make a real difference to how people feel about where they work and volunteer, this maternity leave opportunity could be for you.
As the Awards and Recognition Officer, you will play a key role in celebrating the valuable contributions of CFA's staff and volunteers. You'll coordinate a variety of awards and recognition initiatives that acknowledge outstanding service, dedication, and achievement across the organisation.
In this role, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to help develop and enhance CFA's recognition programs, ensuring they are contemporary, inclusive, and aligned with our strategic goal of making CFA a great place to work and volunteer. You'll manage the end-to-end coordination of internal and external honours, awards, and recognition programs—including overseeing nominations, liaising with stakeholders, and delivering meaningful presentation ceremonies that reflect CFA's values and culture.
About You
Our ideal candidate will bring experience coordinating and delivering innovative initiatives, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills that help you engage and influence others with ease. You're confident managing competing priorities and tight deadlines, while keeping an eye on the details that make recognition experiences special.
Ideally, you have tertiary qualifications in human resources, social sciences, humanities, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You also have a talent for analysing situations, finding solutions, and making improvements that enhance the way things are done.
Experience working in or supporting a volunteer-based environment would be an advantage, but most importantly, you're motivated by the opportunity to create meaningful recognition experiences that celebrate the contributions of CFA's people.
