THE ROLE
The Audit and Risk and Assurance Officer is a supporting role within the Information Technology Services (ITS) Branch of Corporate Delivery Services (CDS), providing management support and assistance to the Branch in accordance with departmental processes within the areas of ICT audits, risk and assurance, performance and portfolio reporting and governance. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, administrative expertise, and effective stakeholder coordination to oversee the successful execution of ICT reporting, risk management activities, and audit remediation processes for ITS.
The Audit, Risk and Assurance Officer provides oversight and monitoring across a range of areas including audits, compliance, reporting and governance. Reporting to Manager, TMO, this role will work independently to manage and coordinate internal and external audits, risk and performance reporting, and provide governance support to senior management committees. They may also be called upon to support other functions within the Directorate as required.
The role supports the coordination of annual and mid-year portfolio planning cycles, ensuring that portfolio demand and resource allocation are strategically aligned with ITS's overarching goals.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a strong knowledge of departmental processes, and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels across the department.
