About the role
Barwon Health is launching a Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) service. An innovative, 10-bed sub-acute residential program supporting young people (16–25) as an alternative to hospital admission or as a step-down from inpatient care.
YPARC delivers recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, youth mental health care in a 24/7 supported, home-like environment focused on functional recovery, independence, and community connection.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) plays a key leadership role within the YPARC team, providing effective shift coordination, clinical leadership and operational support to ensure the delivery of high-quality, recovery-focused care. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, the ANUM supports consumers and their families/carers through therapeutic engagement, clinical assessment, care planning and evidence-based interventions that promote recovery and wellbeing.
The ANUM will undertake in-charge responsibilities during off-duty periods of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), deputise for the NUM as required, and contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment. This role includes a rotating roster, including some night duty.
