About the Emergency Department
With around 80,000 presentations each year, the Barwon Health Emergency Department at University Hospital Geelong plays a vital role in providing timely and effective care to people in need. To ensure that patients receive appropriate care, the department has established short stay units for both adult and paediatric patients. This approach allows the department to deliver the right care at the right time, improving patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
About the role
We are currently seeking Associate Nurse Unit Managers in our Emergency Department. In this role you will assist in the leadership; planning and delivery of a high-quality service within Barwon Health’s Medical Service whilst developing a professional and collaborative partnership in the management department.
As an Associate Unit Nurse Manager (ANUM), you will provide clinical leadership and management, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the operational needs of the ward/unit are met. You'll be responsible for clinical and professional role modelling; guiding staff toward the best possible care standards whilst fostering continuous improvement within the ward/unit. Additionally, you will support and encourage the professional development of nursing staff to ensure ongoing growth and excellence in clinical practice.
