Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Acute Ward
1) Permanent Part Time | 40 Hours Per Fortnight
2) Fixed Term 32 Hours Per Fortnight (6 month contract)
Opportunities exist for motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the Daylesford Acute Ward team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM).
Working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager, the ANUM plays a key leadership role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. This position provides clinical leadership, coordinates patient flow and staffing, supports quality improvement initiatives, and contributes to positive patient and staff outcomes within a small rural health service.
About the Role
The ANUM will:
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff across the Acute Ward.
- Assist with day-to-day operational management, including shift coordination and patient flow.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support and mentor staff in professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Act on behalf of the Nurse Unit Manager as delegated.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated acute nursing experience with well-developed clinical skills.
- Previous leadership or acting ANUM experience (desirable).
- Advanced Life Support certification (or working towards)
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to delivering person-centred care and fostering positive workplace culture.
- Understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and accreditation standards.
