The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

About the Role
Judicial Registrars in the Civil Divisions of the Supreme Court are seeking legally qualified individuals to be their next Associate. Various roles available for vacancies commencing between December 2025 and March 2026.
Associates provide high-level legal and administrative support to the judiciary who preside over specialist lists, conduct judicial mediations, and hear a range of civil interlocutory applications before trial. The successful candidate will require excellent attention to detail, proven organisational skills, and experience working in a legal environment.
Post admission experience is preferred.

The role is based in the Melbourne CBD. Hybrid working arrangements and additional leave entitlements are available to the successful candidates. Leave may be restricted during the legal terms.
About You
To be successful in this role you should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, personal qualities suitable for liaising with the profession and members of the public, as well as a strong academic record. Two years post-graduation experience is desirable.
