The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

About the Role
The Honourable Justice Stynes is seeking a legally qualified person to be her Associate in mid-July 2026.
Justice Stynes undertakes a wide variety of work within the Commercial Court of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Her Honour is the Judge in charge of the Technology, Engineering and Construction List. As a result, the successful applicant will have a genuine interest in construction law.

About You
Her Honour strives for excellence in her work and the work of her chambers. As such, you will have exemplary academic results and very strong legal research skills. You will be highly organised and will be able to liaise in an efficient and cordial manner with members of the legal profession, the Court, and the public. Experience in the area of construction law and at least one year of post admission experience at a law firm (or similar) is desirable.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience at the Court and contribute to the administration of justice.
