The Assistant Principal ¿ Wellbeing and Inclusion reports directly to the Principal and plays a key leadership role in ensuring all students are supported to engage meaningfully in their education and achieve their full potential.
This Assistant Principal has primary responsibility for leading the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of the school¿s Wellbeing and Disability Inclusion programs, ensuring alignment with state policy, the Disability Inclusion reform agenda, and the school¿s Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan.
The role involves leading the school¿s inclusive education practices, student engagement and wellbeing programs, and supporting staff capability-building through collaboration, coaching and professional learning. The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Leadership Team, Wellbeing Team, allied health professionals, and external support services to coordinate multidisciplinary approaches to support student needs.
In exercising this responsibility, the Assistant Principal will have the authority to make decisions relating to program implementation, budget allocation, and staff leadership within their designated portfolio. They will play a critical role in policy development, cultural leadership, and the overall management of the school.
Typically, the Assistant Principal ¿ Wellbeing and Inclusion will perform one or more of the following functions:

To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. In 2025, the school has an enrolment of 542 students with 47 (95) students classified as EAL (English as an Additional Language), 67 (12%) students identified as socially disadvantaged and 5 (1%) students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. The school is structured in single year level classes.
We have a strong inclusion program with a Leading Teacher of Disability Inclusion who provides support for school staff, students, and families, with 25 students supported under the Program for Students with Disabilities or a Disability Inclusion Profile.
