The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with the Principal and Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership across the school, supporting the implementation of the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan. The successful applicant will lead initiatives that improve student learning, wellbeing and engagement outcomes while fostering a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement and professional growth.
Strategic Leadership
¿ Support the Principal in the development, implementation and evaluation of the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan.
¿ Lead and monitor whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to departmental priorities and school goals.
¿ Use student achievement, engagement and wellbeing data to inform decision-making and drive school improvement.
¿ Contribute to the development, review and implementation of school policies and procedures.
Teaching and Learning
¿ Lead the implementation of evidence-based teaching and learning practices across the school.
¿ Support the development of a consistent and high-quality instructional model.
¿ Monitor curriculum implementation and student achievement data to identify areas for improvement.
¿ Build teacher capability through coaching, mentoring, professional learning and performance development processes.
¿ Lead curriculum initiatives and ensure alignment with the Victorian Curriculum.
Student Wellbeing and Inclusion
¿ Promote a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the wellbeing and engagement of all students.
¿ Lead the implementation of student wellbeing, behaviour support and inclusion programs.

Qualifications and Requirements
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Demonstrated teaching experience and capacity to provide educational leadership within a primary school setting.
Current knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, Department of Education policies and school improvement frameworks.
Demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing and the implementation of the Child Safe Standards.
Current qualifications and training relevant to the role, including any mandatory Department of Education requirements.
Experience in a leadership role within a school setting is highly desirable.
