Values
The following core values reflect the beliefs that we hold about how children learn, how our school will operate and how we relate to one another in order to become effective citizens.
CONNECTION We support teamwork, and the goals of a group ahead of personal goals. Being part of a bigger community gives us meaning and sense of purpose.
RESPECT We respect one another¿s right to safety and dignity at school. We will speak to each other with calmness, politeness and civility.
PERSEVERANCE We recognise that learning is hard, but we can reach our learning goals with the guidance of our teachers and the support of our friends.
School Improvement Culture
Bayswater North Primary School is committed to our ongoing school improvement work, which resulted in the achievement of `HIGH¿ in both the learning and wellbeing domains of our School Performance Report for 2025. Work towards our AIP goals is the responsibility of all staff at BNPS, and our School Improvement Team utilises Simon Breakspear approaches to collaboratively deliver on AIP targets. The school is developing a professional learning culture that incorporates learning walks, observations and cohesive Professional Learning Communities, and data and academic research are commonly used to drive our improvement work.
Wellbeing approaches at Bayswater North PS are underpinned by positive psychology and the PERMAH model. Alongside our school wide positive behaviour matrix, this forms the basis of our Tier 1 wellbeing support for all students, and staff are expected to implement these practices in conjunction with high quality teaching and learning practices using our BNPS Instructional Model.
