Wollert Secondary College opened in 2023 and is located in a rapidly developing growth corridor, with enrolments steadily increasing each year. The school currently has approximately 600 students across Years 7 to 10 and is projected to grow to approximately 800 students in 2027, when the College will offer Years 7 to 11. When the College reaches its full Year 7-12 program, total enrolments are expected to exceed 1,000 students.
Wollert Secondary College is a Supported Inclusion School, which is a mainstream setting with additional professional expertise and purpose-built facilities to support students with intellectual disabilities. The assistant principal reports directly to the principal.
Assistant principals have a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program. In exercising the responsibility, assistant principals will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff relating to their area of designated responsibility within the framework of the school's strategic plan, policies and budget. Assistant principals will contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision making.
The management of significant school program or functional areas in schools involve assistant principals in the analysis of the needs of students and the translation of state educational policy and frameworks into appropriate education programs to meet the needs of all students.
Typically assistant principals will be responsible for the effective use of the teaching staff and program budget of a defined area of the school's operation and for the oversight and leadership of the educational programs provided utilising these resources.

Wollert Secondary College is seeking an innovative and highly relational Assistant Principal for Engagement and Operations to help lead a positive, inclusive and high-performing school culture within a growing secondary school located in one of Victoria's fastest-growing growth corridors.
The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership of sub-school operations, student engagement, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing support, and school-wide improvement initiatives, ensuring all students are supported to belong, engage and thrive within an inclusive learning environment.
Working collaboratively with staff, students and families, the Assistant Principal for Engagement and Operations will lead initiatives that enhance student outcomes, including the implementation of Positive Classroom Management Strategies (PCMS), the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM) 2.0 and the College's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
The successful applicant will oversee a sub-school comprising approximately three year levels, leading student engagement, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing supports while contributing to whole-school improvement priorities. As a growing school, the role will play a key part in developing and refining the systems, processes and operational structures that enable effective school functioning and student success.
