A group of Year 6 students undertake a trip to the Yipirinya School in Alice Springs annually. The Yipirinya School is an indigenous school and enabled us to broaden our students understanding and appreciation for Australian indigenous cultures. Our students participate in a variety of classroom activities, play and experienced a Cultural Day. The trip concludes with a visit to Uluru.
In 2023, we embarked on the creation of a Human Powered Racing Team with the final goal of competing at the Energy Breakthrough event in Maryborough. Energy Breakthrough's values are closely aligned with the school, with a strong focus on STEM, gender equity and sustainability. In the process of creating our Human Powered Racing Team, the staff and students have had to actively engage with our school and local community to access sponsorship and expertise.
