The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Assistant Manager, Employment Pathways to provide a critical role at Offender Services and Reintegration, Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
The Offender Services and Reintegration division of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including case management, education, training and employment, prison industries and rehabilitation and reintegration supports. The division contributes to a safer community by supporting a safe and humane corrections system that provides opportunities for rehabilitation, supports reintegration and works toward Aboriginal self-determination.
The Employment Pathways Team delivers a number of employment support services, including job readiness support, referrals into employment support as well as creating and placing people into employment opportunities following their release from prison or while subject to community corrections supervision.

About you
The Assistant Manager has a focus on quality data capture, performance reporting, analysis and creating communications to support the conduction of direct recruitment exercises across statewide locations that will identify suitable candidates, present them to employers and ensure post placement supports. The role also has 5 direct reports, including a Project Support Officer responsible for supporting the delivery of centralised functions and ensuring the efficient coordination of key operational activities, as well as 4 regionally based Employment Brokers who work with people subje ct to community corrections supervision. The position requires high level skills in project management, planning and coordination, communication, internal and external stakeholder management and attention to detail.
