An exciting opportunity exists to take up a 12-month role at Victoria's information integrity agency. The Assistant Commissioner, Policy is responsible for shaping OVIC's policy positions in relation to information privacy and access to information. The Assistant Commissioner, Policy leads the Policy team in:
The Assistant Commissioner, Policy works closely with colleagues across OVIC, including the Information Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners and other senior managers. The Assistant Commissioner, Policy also participates in national and international networks of other information integrity agencies to share knowledge and experiences.
The Policy team has a large workload and works on multiple projects and consultations simultaneously. The right candidate will have exceptional organisational skills and experience in managing competing priorities under time pressures.
Security cleared position:
Due to the nature of OVIC's work, you must successfully obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance following your appointment and be an Australian citizen (in reference to citizenship requirements surrounding a security clearance), as such Permanent Residents and holders of a valid work permit or visa are ineligible to apply.
