About the Role:
There are two new Grade 1 Art Therapy positions available within the Child Life, Music, Art and Garden Therapy Department. The positions are 2 year Fixed Term contracts, with part-time or full-time hours available (1.6 FTE). Art Therapy at RCH is part of Allied Health and consists of a team of progessional ANZACATA Art Therapists (AThR) who provide clinical art therapy services to infants, children and adolescents with a range of medical conditions. The team of Art Therapists support patients using targeted therapy sessions to assist with aspects of their hospital experience. The aim of Art Therapy is to use the process of art to provide therapeutic mental health support through a range of face-to-face services and resourcing. You will be responsible for high quality art therapy services. You will ensure that the Art Therapy team delivers the best outcomes for patients and families while working in close collaboration with art therapy staff, medical, nursing and other allied health staff as well as the patients/families themselves and other external service providers.
Internally, this position will be known and referred to as: Art Therapist - Grade 1.
Classification for this position will be governed by Award 01 - Allied Health and will range from AT51 (Grade 1, Year 1) to AT55 (Grade 1, Year 5) depending on experience from $70,590.00 to $85,872.80 (base salary per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus Superannuation).
