About the Role:
This is a full-time Fixed Term role for 76hrs per fortnight within the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP), Monday to Friday - days are negotiable and job share will also be considered. This role will include travel between regional screening sites, but is primarily located in Wodonga/Shepparton. You will perform regular hearing screening duties and be responsible for managing a team of Hearing Screeners, as well as conduct newborn hearing screens. You will be responsible for the provision of leadership to the staff; assistance with recruitment and training; staff performance evaluation; team management; operational responsibility for screening duties; stakeholder relationships; and ensuring quality and standards are met at all times. You will also have a key role in the program's strategic direction and ongoing evaluation.
Classification for this position will range from AO51: Grade 5, Level 1 ($92,856.40) to AO55: Grade 5, Level 5 ($102,653.20) per annum, if applicable: pro rata for part-time, plus Superannuation and be governed by Award 10: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025.

About the Department:
The Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP) is dedicated to early detection of hearing loss in newborns across Victoria, ensuring timely intervention and support for affected families. Operating within the Centre for Community Child Health, the program works closely with hospitals and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality hearing screening services, contributing to the overall health and development of infants.
