Area Manager, Newborn Hearing Screening
About the Role:
This is a permanent part time role for 30.4 hrs per fortnight within the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Hearing Screeners located in Fitzroy. You will be responsible for the provision of leadership to the staff; assistance with recruitment and training; staff performance evaluation; team management; operational responsibility for screening duties; stakeholder relationships; and ensuring quality and standards are met at all times. You will also have a key role in the program's strategic direction and ongoing evaluation.
Classification for this position will range from AO51-AO55 per annum, plus superannuation.

About the Department:
The Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP) is dedicated to early detection of hearing loss in newborns across Victoria, ensuring timely intervention and support for affected families. Operating within the Centre for Community Child Health, the program works closely with hospitals and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality hearing screening services, contributing to the overall health and development of infants.
