The Budget and Finance Division
The Budget and Finance Division plays a key role in the delivery of the State Budget, and monitors and helps to manage financial and operational performance by Departments. We also provide advice on departmental and agency reviews and provide Budget advice to Cabinet and Cabinet sub-committees.
The Budget and Finance Division brings together people with financial management, policy advice and program oversight skills to provide timely and high-quality budget and spending advice. We work to deliver value for money and improved outcomes for Victorians.

About the Role
As a member of the Financial Sustainability Group, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic advice to government on a broad range of issues relating to financial sustainability. You will be working in a dynamic environment across different projects and with stakeholders across Budget and Finance Division, DTF and the public service.
You will contribute to financial analysis and policy advice on resource allocation and financial sustainability. Working in small project teams you will contribute to preparing and presenting analysis for senior DTF leadership using information from a broad range of sources. You will be comfortable presenting analysis and communicating in writing and with slides.
A relevant qualification in economics, finance, political science, public policy or related field would be highly regarded.
