The State Farm Crime Coordination Unit (FCCU) is attached to Eastern Region Headquarters, aligned to the Operations Support Division. The FCCU focus on: Theft of livestock, machinery, fuel and firearms, Illegal hunting/shooting and trespass, protest and activism.
As the VPS 3 you will represent and support the State Farm Crime Coordination Unit to achieve the strategic direction, objectives and goals linked as articulated in the Farm Crime Coordination Unit Framework 2025 – 2028.
Reporting direct to the Farm Crime Inspector the position will be based from Eastern Region Headquarters. Travel may be required to support the unit to meet objectives and goals.
Farm crime reaches across multiple crime themes. Simple or organised, offending is high harm and high risk with the theft of firearms, breach to biosecurity and the general interruption to farming practices arising from criminal offending and activism
The value of industry experts, partners and stakeholders in understanding and addressing farm crime is of high importance. Collaboration and relationship building is key to establishing sector and industry confidence and trust. With State level responsibilities the Farm Crime Unit works with internal and government agencies on legislative reform that aims to improve and support safer farming operations.
