About ACIA Division
The Access, Critical Care, Imaging, and Ambulatory (ACIA) Services Division is within the Chief Operating Officer Directorate. ACIA is comprised of the following areas: Radiology/ Molecular Imaging and Therapy (MIT), Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC), Hospital in the Home (HITH)/ Virtual Care (HITHVC), Specialist Clinics, Non-emergency Ambulance Services (NEPT), Care Coordination, Bed Management, Emergency Medicine Intensive Care Unit. The Ambulance Booking office handles all non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) bookings, including dispatching bookings for the Austin Health based stretcher vehicle. We liaise with the wards and clinical units to facilitate the booking of non-emergency ambulances for patient transfer and maintain a database of all bookings.
About the role
Join the Ambulance Booking Office and play a key role in coordinating non-emergency patient transport across Austin Health. This position provides administrative support for ambulance bookings, dispatching patient transport, liaising with clinical teams and transport providers, and ensuring booking information is accurate and up to date. We are seeking a highly organised individual with strong communication, data entry, and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment focused on delivering excellent customer service.
